Geothermal Energy

Geothermal Energy comes from heat stored in the soils and rocks beneath the ground. The heat is then collected via a Ground Source Heat Pump. Geothermal Energy is an environmentally friendly, method of heating which can help to reduce energy consumption, carbon emissions and energy bills by up to 75%.

Geothermal energy is utilised via the collection of heat from beneath the ground where the soils and rocks maintain a constant temperature, heat is collected via ground loop heat collectors which source the underground heat and transfer it to a property via a ground source heat pump. This method of Geothermal heating is known as the ‘closed loop system’.

The results are that for every 1kw of energy used the system can get up to 4kw back, thus reducing energy bills by up to 75%.

Alternative methods of Geothermal energy are also available.
